BADMINTON
Time to dust off the badminton racquets! From September badminton resumes on Monday and Wednesday nights in Aras An Tochar at 7.30pm. Beginners always welcome. Teams to be selected shortly so get your names in. Looking forward to see all our members back playing and as always new members are more than welcome to come along.
VARIETY A.G.M
The Roundwood Variety A.G.M. takes place on Wednesday the 10th September in the Old School at 8pm. All are welcome to attend. Anyone who is interested in taking part in next years production, either on stage or behind the scenes are urged to come along and learn what we are all about.
STORY TELLING NIGHT
There will be a story house night in Annamoe Centre on next Friday the 12th September at pm. Anyone with a song, a joke, a story, play a bit of music please come along and have a great night.
MASS OF THE ANGELS
Mass of the Angels – Mass of Remembrance will be on Saturday 4th October at 6.30 p.m. This special Mass will be for the parents and families of babies who died before birth, at birth, or in infancy, and for those who died in early childhood, youth and young adulthood either in recent years or in the past. We extend a very warm welcome to all parents, families, relatives and friends who have suffered such a loss.
BINGO
Fun Bingo will take place on in the Parish Hall on Sunday 13th September from 3pm. Family members and friends are more than welcome to attend. €5 per book and great raffle prizes. Come along and enjoy.

YOGA CLASSES
Yoga Classes will resume on Thursday 11th Sept in Roundwood Parish Centre at 7.30 p.m.till 9.00 p.m. Class will include:- Asana Work -flexibility of joints and muscles; Pranayama -breathing techniques to help focus and calm the mind; Meditation -stillness-Deep relaxation; Class is open to all & each person is encouraged to work at their own pace. PETER DARCY MEMORIAL GOLF CLASSIC
Glendalough and Roundwood Golf Societies are jointly running a Golf day at Roundwood Golf Club on Sat 13th September in memory of our friend, Peter Darcy. Cost is €160 per team of 4 (or €40 per person) including dinner and entertainment in Byrne and Woods, Roundwood later that evening. We have lined up 3 bands over the course of the evening so it promises to be a great day and night. Prizes for the golf include fourballs for Druids Glen, Carton House and loads of other top-class prizes. Timesheet is now open (10am to 4pm). Everyone welcome. ZUMBA CLASSES
Zumba classes recommence in Roundwood Parish Centre at 7pm every Tuesday night with Adam. If you’re looking for a really fun way to tone up and loose lots of calories, this is the class and it’s amazing the fun you will have working out! Cost €6 per class
MUSIC IN CALARY
The next concert in the 2014 Music in Calary series will be given by Deirdre Moynihan (soprano) and Alec O’Leary (guitar) at 8pm on Thursday 18 September. The programme will include pieces by Sor, Rodrigo, Solis, Garcia Lorca, Montsalvatge and exciting arrangements of cinematic songs from their new CD. ROUNDWOOD & DISTRICT TEXT ALERT
Community volunteers are now delivering information and sign up forms to all houses in the Roundwood Garda District. Those volunteers will be calling back over the coming weeks to collect the forms and subscription monies. Many of the volunteers are distributing within their own areas and should be known to you.
