Hillwalking

Using Roundwood for a base for a hill walking holiday is a great idea. The Wicklow Way, Ireland’s first long distance walking route, passes just 2km away from the village. It is also positioned on the fringes of the Wicklow Mountains National Park. The village has a good range of accommodation many of whom provide transport links to start points of the most popular walks. The local outlets offer a range of freshly made lunches to ensure no one will go hungry on the hills.

Maps are available for sale in the local shops too.  Mountain views website is a very detailed site which includes other walkers and tracker experiences
