DERRALOSSARY CHURCHYARD
A Work Party will be held on Saturday 27th July in Derralossary Churchyard from 10:00 to 16:00 to continue the work of maintaining and improving the graveyard in advance of Heritage Week. The information and grave locations stands were installed some months ago and we are engaging with the Tánaiste’s office and Dept of Defence regarding an event on Sunday 17th November which is the 50th anniversary of the death in office of President Erskine Childers. Strimmers (with petrol and plenty of cutting line), rakes, a few lawnmowers and the odd saw will come in handy. If you have any queries, please just call Mervyn on 086 8227998.

MEN’S SHED
Roundwood Men’s Shed: The Shed continues to meet every Tuesday in Knockraheenat Pat Carr’s place (A98 AH02) from 10 to 12 a.m. approximately. We care and listen and share over a cuppa or two. Occasionally we break into song and we have a few fine musicians and singers in our ranks. The experts tell us that music is good for the soul and the mental health of all. We do some gentle exercises and recently we have been planting trees along the Vartry Trail. New faces will be very welcome in the Shed. ACTIVE RETIRED
Active Retirement exercise class by SielBleuIreland, Thursdays at the Roundwood Parish Hall from 12:30-13:30pm. This class has been extended for another 8 weeks due to popular demand. All welcome €10 per session. This is going very well and we have had positive feedback from all our attendees.

Wicklow County Council Mobile Library will be in Roundwood Village on Thursday 1stAugust 2024 from 10am until 11.15am and also from 2.10pm until 4.30pm. Come along and join the library. It’s a free service and is a fantastic way to pick up any book that suits your reading interests.
