MUSIC IN CALARY

The first concert of Music in Calary’s 2024 season will take place at 8 pm on Friday 3rd May in Calary Church when The Dublin Viols together with soprano Aisling Kenny will perform music of the late Renaissance, mostly by English composers of the sixteenth and early seventeenth century including William Byrd. Music in Calary is delighted to be able to welcome such wonderful performers especially for the first concert of 2024. We would also like to thank Wicklow County Council for their support. 

LOTTO 

Results of the draw held on Sunday April 21st. There was no jackpot winner, the numbers drawn were 7, 14, 23 & 24. There were eight match three winners. Fiona Timmons, Joe Kavanagh, Emma Lyons, Carol Connor, J.J R.H. Kate Linnane, Mark Burke & Nisha. Next jackpot will be €20,500.      

CANCER SUPPORT  

Roundwood Cancer Support office is open every Monday and Friday from ten to twelve o clock for anyone who needs advice or help when dealing with Cancer.  The now famous East Coast Radio Coffee Morning will be held in Kavanagh’s Pub Roundwood on Friday the 26th of April starting at 9 am with all proceeds raised on the day going directly to Roundwood Cancer Support. Lots of lovely cakes tea coffee and entertainment on the day as well as spot prizes 

SISTER MARY KILLEEN 

Sister Mary Killeen from  Mukuru Promotion Centre, Nairobi, Kenya will be taking part in the service at Calary Church on Sunday 28 April. All are welcome. It will be the only chance to meet her this year as pressures back in the slums of Nairobi, have meant her visit to Ireland has been cut short. 

As the Director of Mukuru Promotion Centre for 39 years, she and the other Sisters of Mercy, have been helping the poor and disadvantaged in the Nairobi slums.   CalaryChurch has been supporting Sr Mary for over 20 years. 

If perchance the 9.30 service is too early, but you would like to help her work, a donation may be given to any member of Calary Parish. Every cent is valuable and is spent wisely.  

CREATIVE HUB MARKET 

Roundwood Creative Hub Market returns in the Parish Hall from 11am til 4pm. Local honey, eggs, home baking, fresh flowers and plants and crafts from local producers. The market needs community support to keep running so please support our local crafters and producers.

KNOCK PILGRIMAGE 2024

MOBILE LIBRARY   

Wicklow County Council Mobile Library will be in Roundwood Village on Thursday25th April 2024 from 10am until 11.15am and also from 2.10pm until 4.30pm. Come along and join the library. It’s a free service and is a fantastic way to pick up any book that suits your reading interests.
