The Roundwood Festival 2022 is a Wrap

More photos of the Festival to follow very soon!

As the dust settles on the Roundwood Festival 2022 a big shout out to all the Roundwood Festival committee for pulling it together and getting this community event back on the social calendar. Thanks to dancer extraordinaire Sheila Kavanagh and her team for putting all through their paces at the set and céilí dancing nights.  The Street Festival was a most enjoyable day with sincere thanks to Michael and Helen Ahearne and the Schwalm family for the use of field, which proved an excellent location. These events cannot happen without the support of all the wonderful volunteers who help prepare for the festival events the days before the festival, the day of the festival and most importantly, after the event. A huge thank you to all the people who forfeited their enjoyment of the day to volunteer as stewards or help on the various stands and attractions for many long hours on Street Festival Day. The raffle raises a large amount of the funding towards the festival so a sincere thanks to the businesses who generously donated the various raffle prizes and also thanks to those businesses that gave financial donations towards the running costs.

Most importantly thanks to the communities of Roundwood, Moneystown, Laragh and beyond who came out in their droves to support and take part in the various events, raffles, races, tug of war and more. Great to have the opportunity to get out and meet friends and neighbours again – super fun was had and great memories made. Roll on Roundwood Festival 2023!
