KNOCK PILGRIMAGE
A pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday 23rd April leaving Laragh at 7.30a.m. and Roundwood at 8a.m. sharp.   Breakfast, dinner and bus is €60 per person.  All money to be paid in full before 1st April.  Names to Susan at 087 6273032 anytime a.s.a.p.  Mike Denver in concert in the Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy on 23rd March.  Tickets are €30 from the hotel or ticketmaster.  Bus only €25.  Please call Susan on 087 6273032 for more information.

MORNING BADMINTON
Tuesday morning Badminton continues in the Sports Complex, Roundwood at 9.30am for approx 1 hour.  Why not drop the children up to school and come join us?  All are welcome.  No need to purchase a racket as there are a few available for our use

FIANNA FÁIL ROUNDWOOD SOCIAL
Roundwood Fianna Fáil Cumann are holding their annual social event on Friday 3rd March 2017 in Kavanagh’s Public House commencing at 9 pm with music from The Wicklow Man. All are welcome and admission is €5.

ROUNDWOOD NS CLOTHES RECYCLE
Another clothes recycle will take place on Friday the 10th of March the following will be accepted  Clothes/bed linen/ towels/ shoes.  There will be a drop off on Thursday the 9th of March at the school between 6-8pm please contact Joanne @ 0879389894 if you have any questions.

LOTTO RESULTS
There was no jackpot winner in last weeks lotto draw.  The numbers drawn were 18, 24, 25 &26.  There were two match three winners, Joe Price & J McGarry.  Next weeks jackpot will be €11,800.

ROUNDWOOD AND DISTRICT ATHLETICS CLUB
Want to get fit / fitter for 2017? Come take part in Jogging/running at the GAA pitch every Tuesday at 6:30pm, at the CoachHouse every Thursday at 7pm (running under lights in the village) and at 10am on Sundays at the Vartry Dam. Beginners and experienced runners all welcome. Set a goal of 10K for Easter or 5K for St Patricks Day, you decide!! We’ll help you reach your goal so layer up in warm comfy gear and come along.

MONEYSTOWN DANCE
The Wicklow Man will play in Moneystown Community Centre on Friday 10 March from 9.30 pm till 12.  Teas served,  refreshments also available, door prizes.   Come along and enjoy a night of waltzing, jive, maybe even a little line dancing.

Taking 1st place on Monday 20th February for North/South were Monica Brady and Brid Clancy, 2nd Rory Egan and Tiernan Hall, 3rd Pauric Gleeson and Kay Plunkett and 4th Gertie Fee and Catherine Halligan.    East/West 1st place went to Phil Power and Bridie Nolan,  2nd Marie Kavanagh and Ann Kennedy, 3rd Clare Sally and Margaret Byrne and 4th Teresa Leahy and Marian Davis.

002 BRIDGE CLUB.
Noeleen Redmond and Margaret Bolger once again played their cards right to take 1st place for North/South on Friday 24th February, 2nd Rowena Brady and Judy Skates, 3rd Seamus Kennedy and Jim McNamara and 4th June Digby and Monica Brady.    1st place for East/west was won by Molly Byrne and Rachel  Judd, 2nd Catherine McGillycuddy and Bridie Nolan, 3rd Ger Lenihan and Paddy O Brien and 4th Gertie Fee and Jane Cronin

CEILI FIGURE DANCING
Any adults interesting in reliving their youth when we all learned to Ceili dance? There are Ceili dancing lessons in the Parish Hall in Roundwood on Wednesday nights starting at 8pm for an hour.  It’s learning to ceili dance in a fun and friendly manner (solo and group dances).  Just come along on the night

Why not take 2 hours out of your week just for you and join us on a Monday evening at 7.30 in the Parish Hall, Roundwood.  Here you will be part of a group who know that looking after their well being is so important.  You will learn how to meditate and be still. All Stars Dinner Dance Huge thanks to Deso, Lucy , Shane , George and Chris for a wonderful night.  Our Junior C’s were presented with their Championship Medals. The Players Players are Junior C – Colm O’Brien, Intermediate – David Molloy and Ladies Team – Amy Murphy.  Brendan Brady was awarded Best Supporter and Liam Kenna was presented with a new Kit bag – no more shopping bags for his gear! and Marcella Price was presented with the Super Sub Cup. Our All Stars were picked from the three adult teams.  Brendan Swords, Noel Brady, Amy Murphy, Liadh Cronin, Jess Scott, Orla Molloy, Katie Coleman, Peter Byrne, Tom Kenna, Jamie Salley, Robert Cullen, David Molloy, Colm O’Brien, Gavin Kenny and Noel Power and George Power  (Manager) make up our 2016 All Stars Panel.  Well done to all. our Intermediates have their first league game next Sunday morning 11.30 am in Stratford.  Hope to see lots of supporters there to cheer on our Lads.  Good luck to all our contestants in Senior Scór this Friday night March 3rd in St Pats GAA Wicklow.  Ladies Training continues every  Friday at 7:45 sharp. and Tuesdays at 7 pm  All new and former players welcome  Well done to Brendan Kennedy who started in Wicklow’s first win of the year vs London.  Our Juvenile Registration night will be Monday 6th March at 7:30-8:30.  There will be a second registration night, date to be confirmed.  The U14 Girls start back to training on Monday March 6th from 6.30- 8 pm.

COACHING
Cúl Camp Coaches – Do you want to Coach on our Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps 2017? Job Description: Coaches must be over 18 years old on the first day of the camp on 3rd July 2017. NOTE: Coaches must be a paid up member of their local GAA club. A Coaching Qualification, code of ethics, Garda Vetting and/or Coaching experience and/or evidence of voluntary coaching/work is mandatory in applying for this position. Closing Date for return of all Fully completed Coaches Application forms is Friday 7th April 2017. All selected coaches will be paid a weekly wage and put through the revenue system in accordance with Croke Park regulations. You may include any further information in support of your application if necessary – Note: Late applications will not be accepted or considered and canvassing will disqualify. Selected candidates will be contacted directly on or before Friday 14th April and given dates for mandatory two day training prior to commencement of Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps 2017. SET DANCING
Roundwood Set Dancing continues every Thursday night from 9pm til 11pm in Kavanagh’s Lounge, Roundwood.  Music this month is CD’s and we will have the O’Kane Family back playing for us again in March and then live music for the remainder of the year.    Admission remains at €5.  Beginners are always welcome along with anyone looking for a bit of exercise and a fun night out.  We are also doing a bit of jiving, waltzing and quick step before our weekly sessions starting at 8.15pm so anyone wanting to give that a go, is more than welcome.  No additional charge!
