PLOUGHING MATCH.
Roundwood Ploughing Society are holding their annual ploughing match on Saturday the 25th of February, 2017 @ 12 noon sharp in Diamond Hill, Roundwood (reservoir filtering beds).  Sincere thanks to John Byrne for providing the site. Conventional, Vintage, Classic Tractor and Horse Classes will be catered for on Lea ground.  Could all competitors please have their names registered before 6pm on Wednesday the 22nd of February, with Brendan Power @ 087 2420204.  Spectators as always are very welcome and we have a chip van on site for the day

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE
The Annual Mass of Remembrance for Parishioners and family members of Parishioners, who died since March last year, and whose funerals took place outside the Parish, will take place next Saturday February 25th at 6.30 pm

HISTORICAL A.G.M
The AGM of the Roundwood & District Historical & Folklore Society will take place on Tuesday, February 28th in the Roundwood Parish Hall at 20.00.  All members are invited to attend the AGM and to participate in the election of Officers of the Society for the coming year

PANCAKE/COFFEE MORNING
Keep Shrove Tuesday 28th Feb free for a special fund raising Coffee/pancake morning in Roundwood Parish Centre starting at 9.15am.  A young boy from the village has been diagnosed with cancer and we would like to provide a little extra comfort to him and his family. KNOCK PILGRIMAGE
A pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday 23rd April leaving Laragh at 7.30a.m. and Roundwood at 8a.m. sharp.   Breakfast, dinner and bus is €60 per person.  All money to be paid in full before 1st April.  Names to Susan at 087 6273032 anytime a.s.a.p.  Mike Denver in concert in the Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy on 23rd March.  Tickets are €30 from the hotel or ticketmaster.  Bus only €25.  Please call Susan on 087 6273032 for more information.

MORNING BADMINTON
Tuesday morning Badminton continues in the Sports Complex, Roundwood at 9.30am for approx 1 hour.  Why not drop the children up to school and come join us?  All are welcome.  No need to purchase a racket as there are a few available for our use

FIANNA FÁIL ROUNDWOOD SOCIAL
Roundwood Fianna Fáil Cumann are holding their annual social event on Friday 3rd March 2017 in Kavanagh’s Public House commencing at 9 pm with music from The Wicklow Man. All are welcome and admission is €5.

ITALY FOR EASTER

SATURDAY WALK
Join in with this month’s Saturday walk on February 25th which will take in the Upper Vartry Reservoir Walk meeting at Roundwood Parish Hall at 9.45pm. The route is less than 10km, relatively flat  which all can walk at their own pace. All welcome

LOTTO RESULTS
There was no jackpot winner in last weeks lotto draw.  The numbers drawn were 19, 22, 24 & 30.  There were three match three winners, Bill & Holly, Catherine McCormack & Joey & Sandra Hamilton.  Next weeks jackpot will be €11,500.

ROUNDWOOD AND DISTRICT ATHLETICS CLUB
Want to get fit / fitter for 2017? Come take part in Jogging/running at the GAA pitch every Tuesday at 6:30pm, at the CoachHouse every Thursday at 7pm (running under lights in the village) and at 10am on Sundays at the Vartry Dam. Beginners and experienced runners all welcome. Set a goal of 10K for Easter or 5K for St Patricks Day, you decide!! We’ll help you reach your goal so layer up in warm comfy gear and come along.

002 BRIDGE CLUB.
Monica Brady was without her regular partner June  on Friday 17th February but still managed to secure 1st place for North/South with John Loscher, 2nd Alice Chadwick and Gayle Weldon, 3rd Kitty Heslin and Miriam Coyle, and 4th Judy Skates and Rowena Brady.   Noeleen Redmond and Margaret Bolger took 1st place once again for East/West, 2nd Elizabeth Belton and Phil Kenna, 3rd Teresa Leahy and Marian Davis and 4th Gertie Fee and Jane Cronin

AN TOCHAR G.A.A
All Stars Dinner Dance – in the Glenview.  Dinner served at 7.30 pm Sharp.   Presentation of medals to Junior C, and annountment of our Players Player and All Stars Panel.  Bus Details – Gerry O Toole will have a coach leaving the complex for the Glenview at 6.45 sharp -. €5.00 one way.  Return journey – There will be 2 mini buses leaving the Glenview at 2.15am – €5.00.  One bus will head to the village & the other will cover rural areas.  Good luck to Stephen Connor who is part of Wicklow panel for Leinster U21 Championship vs Louth this Wed night Feb 22nd. Job Description: Coaches must be over 18 years old on the first day of the camp on 3rd July 2017. NOTE: Coaches must be a paid up member of their local GAA club. A Coaching Qualification, code of ethics, Garda Vetting and/or Coaching experience and/or evidence of voluntary coaching/work is mandatory in applying for this position. Closing Date for return of all Fully completed Coaches Application forms is Friday 7th April 2017. All selected coaches will be paid a weekly wage and put through the revenue system in accordance with Croke Park regulations. CEILI FIGURE DANCING
Any adults interesting in reliving their youth when we all learned to Ceili dance? There are Ceili dancing lessons in the Parish Hall in Roundwood on Wednesday nights starting at 8pm for an hour.  It’s learning to ceili dance in a fun and friendly manner (solo and group dances).  Just come along on the night

ROUNDWOOD DANCE
The next Roundwood Dance will be on Friday 17th March with Music by The Wicklow Man reverting back to the old time of 9pm – 12 midnight–.  All are welcome.

ANGEL HEALING
Why not take 2 hours out of your week just for you and join us on a Monday evening at 7.30 in the Parish Hall, Roundwood.  Here you will be part of a group who know that looking after their well being is so important.  You will learn how to meditate and be still. SET DANCING
Roundwood Set Dancing continues every Thursday night from 9pm til 11pm in Kavanagh’s Lounge, Roundwood.  Music this month is CD’s and we will have the O’Kane Family back playing for us again in March and then live music for the remainder of the year.    Admission remains at €5.  Beginners are always welcome along with anyone looking for a bit of exercise and a fun night out.  We are also doing a bit of jiving, waltzing and quick step before our weekly sessions starting at 8.15pm so anyone wanting to give that a go, is more than welcome.  No additional charge!
