Tickets for Roundwood Variety Groups production of HONK The Ugly Duckling a fantastic musical by George Stiles and Anthony Drew are now on sale & are selling fast.  This musical has something for young and old, it’s funny, it’s sad and it’s a show not to be missed  To book tickets you can go on to our website choose your seats and then arrange payment by emailing or telephoning 086 2451829. When payment is made you will get a link which will allow you to print off your tickets. On Sunday January 25th at 7.30pm Roundwood Parish Hall will be hosting a Progressive 45 Game in the Parish Hall to help us raise funds for the Halls upkeep. There will be raffle and cash prizes on the night and refreshments will also be provided. Please come along and show your support


The results of the whist are as follows:- Top Score: Kitty Kennedy; Top Gent: Jimmy Molloy; Top Lady: Mary Pierce; Second Gent: Ann Pierce; Second Lady: Maura McHugh; First Half: Pat Fisher; Second Half: Richie Cullen; Lowest Score: Margaret Kennedy & Longest Sitting: Martin Byrne.  Raffle prizes were won by Kitty Kennedy, Monica Byrne, Mary Brady, Pat Fisher & May Kenna.  The next whist is on tonight Wednesday the 21st January in the Parish Centre


Handball training for primary school children (6-12 year olds) continues in the Annamoe Community Centre from 6.30pm – 7.15pm.  There is a purpose built 40×20 handball court in the facility and a new glass backwall which was installed prior to Christmas.  For more information drop in on the evening or contact Oliver Donelan on 087 9040535


A reminder that the Active Retirement Lunch club will take place on Friday 16th January, 2015 in Woods and Byrne, Roundwood at 1.30pm.


A trip to the shrines of France will take place from 11th to 18th April, 2015 for seven nights, visiting Lourdes, Rocamadour, Nevers, Paris and Lisieux.  The total cost is €799 per person sharing.  Details are in the church porch.  Deposit of €200 should be paid as soon as possible and the balance of the oney before 1st February, 2015.  For more details please contact Susan O’Neill a t 0404 45276 after 8pm.


Nancy O Brien and Catherine McGillycuddy got 2015 off to a flying start by taking 1st place for North/South in the first competition of  the new year 2nd Noeleen Redmond and Margaret Bolger, 3rd Liz Belton and Kitty Heslin and 4th Molly and Margaret Byrne.   Rowena Brady and Maria Magee played their cards for East/West 2nd Ger Lenihan and Paddy O Brien, 3rd Teresa Leahy and Marion Davis and 4th Bridie Nolan and Maura Gaskin


There was no jackpot winner in last week’s draw.  The number drawn were: 4, 7, 24 & 28.  There were seven match three winners:  Andy Byrne, Peter Byrne, Eamon Lowe, Eamon Lowe, A. Doyle, Betty Sutton & Eamon Lowe.  Next week’s jackpot will be €5,900.
