A tour of the Derralossary Graveyard will take place on Saturday 12th of August from 2pm at Derralossary Church and graveyard. The church grounds at Derralossary serve as the final resting place for a diverse array of individuals, ranging from patriots and priests to paupers and ordinary parishioners, some of whom remain unidentified.
Recognizing the significance of this site, the United Friends of Derralossary, Roundwood Community Council and the Wicklow County Council Community Archaeological Service have united in their efforts to protect and preserve this site. To promote awareness and appreciation for the history embedded within these grounds, they are organizing a Heritage Week tour. During this tour, visitors will have the opportunity to delve into the rich history of the church and its surroundings.
