CHRISTMAS RAFFLE

Roundwood  & Moneystown Parish Christmas Raffle 2021:  The Sale of Work will not take place this year, but the Raffle is going ahead!   The draw will take place following the turning on of the Christmas Lights on December 4th, in the Parish Hall.  Most households will have received their tickets by now.   Tickets and money can be returned in a sealed envelope to the Roundwood Lotto Box above the ATM in Centra Roundwood, the collection baskets in the Parish Churches at weekend Masses or the Parish Office during opening times (Mon – Thurs 8.45 am – 12.30 pm)

HISTORICAL JOURNAL 

The 2021 Roundwood & District Historical Journal is for sale in the following places. Roundwood : Post Office, Keeley’s Hardware, Grants Butchers, Centra, Sugar Mountain Café & Round Wood Stores. Laragh: McCoys. Newtownmountkennedy: Fishers, Post Office & Eugene’s. Wicklow Town: Bridge St Books. Price €10.

ROUNDWOOD N.S.

St Laurence O’Toole’s National School are seeking expressions of interest from individuals willing to serve as a community representative on the Board of Management of the school. Interested persons should email roundwoodns@gmail.com for further information.

LOTTO

Results of the draw held on Sunday November 21st .There was no jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were 3, 15, 21 & 23. There were ten match winners. Joe Turner, Jimmy, Millie & Kevin, Patrick Tyndell, Jade Scott, Kitty Heslin, Gerry Carroll, John Martin, Esther Breslin & Suzanne Kavanagh .  Next week’s jackpot will be €13,300.

WALKING GROUP

The Roundwood Whizzers are back walking every Wednesday leaving from outside Roundwood Parish Hall at 7pm. All fitness levels welcome to walk for up to one hour at your own pace on the footpaths under the street lights in the village. Bring a torch and a hi vis top if you have one. 


INDOOR BOWLS

Indoor Bowls has resumed in Annamoe Centre on Tuesday nights at 8pm. We are looking for new members to come along and enjoy the game. Bowls is social and a great way to meet new people. Covid rules are fully adhered to.

BADMINTON CLUB 

Roundwood Badminton Club is delighted to announce that we are open again for all badminton enthusiasts or newcomers in the local and surrounding areas, in An Tóchar GAA Club Hall.  We are open for all adult members Mondays and Wednesdays from 7.30 pm under the following Covid regulations: 1) You must hold a valid Covid vaccination/immunity certificate 2) Masks must be worn when entering the hall and whilst not on court playing. Our juvenile club is open for all secondary school students on Mondays from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

TUESDAY BADMINTON

Tuesday morning badminton is also back from 9.30am until 11am. No Racquet required, everyone welcome. We look forward to seeing you there! Covid regulations: 1) You must hold a valid Covid vaccination/immunity certificate 2) Masks must be worn when entering the hall and whilst not on court playing.

CANCER SUPPORT

Our centre is now open. Hospital transport is being provided as per usual. Counselling for cancer sufferers and their family is available. Reflexology, massage and other therapies are available also.
