The Vartry Reservoir Official Opening
The Vartry Reservoirs walks will be officially opened on Saturday 9th of June by An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar at the Upper Reservoir Dam entrance at Knockraheen on the Newtown Road (R765). Please arrive at 3:30pm for the official opening at 4pm. Fun Walk/Run after Official Opening followed by BBQ. Car parking will be available. All members of the community are most welcome with face painting for children.
BARN DANCE – CHANGE OF BAND
Moneystown Midsummer Barn Dance and BBQ will take place on 30th June in Moneystown Community Centre starting at 8pm till late. Music will now be by Paul Molloy and the Whole Hog. Fully licensed.

CLASSES
Kildare Wicklow ETB are currently advertising for grant funding under the community education programme. The Community Council previously facilitated courses on flower arranging, digital photography, IT and art. OUR LADYS ISLAND
There will be a pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Island on Sunday 19th August leaving Roundwood at 10a.m. from the Parish Hall. Cost is €65 per person which includes the bus, scones and dinner. Money and names to Susan at 087 76273032 before 1st August, 2018.

WALKING GROUP
Not only do the Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group walk for approximately an hour every Wednesday evening, they also have time suss out the progress of the Vartry Walks, have the chat and take a few photos of the fantastic scenery as they go! Some folk walk fast, others slower but the good thing is the group take slightly different routes according to your pace. So no one walks alone & generally all start and finish together! CEILI DANCING LESSONS
Adult ceili dancing classes are held every Wednesday night in the parish hall from 8 to 9pm. Learn to solo dance and also group dances under the tuition of Aoife, Cian and Eimear and have great fun learning.
