ATHLETIC AGM
The Annual General Meeting of the Roundwood and District Athletic Club will take place on Thursday 23rd November in Aras anTochar at 8pm  Nomination papers are available to all registered members from the Secretary :email address. Kennakathleen@gmail.com.  The closing date for nominations and motions is the 18th November.  If you are free come along, we would be delighted to see new faces

SET DANCING CHRISTMAS PARTY

At Mill Room Kilcoole. Set dancing Christmas party night on December 1st 9pm till late. Music by Pat Bass & Co. All welcome.

GALA CONCERT
A gala concert “Songs for Syria” takes place next Sunday the 26th November at 7.30pm in St Patricks Catholic Church, Wicklow Town.  This will be a wonderful evening of song from local choirs directed by Tony Norton.  Wicklow Community Choir, Avoca Valley Singers & Invear Ladies Choir will be among the choirs performing along with local primary school choirs.  Tickets are €10 or €20 for a family and will be on sale on the door from 7pm.   For further details contact Jack on 086 1727654 or email kinkeadj@gmail.com

CODERDOJO
CoderDojo is a global volunteer led community of free programming clubs for young people. They learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology. Registration is now open for Coderdojo in Roundwood NS on Saturday afternoons. Please note places are limited. For further information and registration please see www.coderdojoroundwood.com

PROGRESSIVE 45 CARD GAME
There will be a progressive 45 card game on Sunday 26th November in Roundwood Parish Hall at 7pm in aid of The Senior Citizens Christmas Party. All are welcome, excellent prize money with raffle, refreshments served at the break. Please note the earlier start of 7pm for wintertime

CABARET
A cabaret in aid of the Senior Citizens Christmas party will take place in The Royal Hotel, Glendalough on Saturday 25th November, music by “Little Apples~”. All are welcome.

PIONEER DANCE
The pioneer dance will be on Friday 24 November in Roundwood Parish Centre with music by Jimmy Hogan. Anyone due either silver or gold pins please contact Sheila

DINNER DANCE
Roundwood AFC are hosting a Christmas dinner dance on the Friday 24th November in the Parkview Hotel , NewtownmountKennedy at 7.30pm with a band and D.J and late bar & three course meal included at a price of €30.00 per person.  Tickets can be purchased from Roundwood post office or Shane 0874171521

LOURDES PILGRIMAGE
There will be a pilgrimage to Lourdes from Roundwood in September, 2018.  Names and €200 deposit before 15th January, 2018 to Susan at 087 6273032.  A pilgrimage to Knock will be on Divine Mercy Sunday 8thApril, 2018.  More on both pilgrimages at a later date.

JUVENILE HANDBALL TRAINING

JUVENILE AWARDS
The Juvenile Presentation night took place Friday last in Aras An Tóchar.  We had a great season with all our young players and look forward to getting back to training in early 2018.  Many thanks to all our Managers, Coaches and Mentors and to the parents for supporting and encouraging all these young boys and girls.    Congratulations to the recipients of individual awards:  Most Improved Player: Sadhbh Morgan, Alex Kelly, Abigail Gray, Conor Byrne, Grace Cullen, Evan Burke, Orla Kenny, Seán Brady and Chloe Crean-Tighe.  Player of the Year Awards went to: Brian Medlycott, Lorcán Smith, Kerri-Anne Murphy and Liadh Cronin

AN TOCHAR A.G.M.
An Tochar GAA will hold their AGM November 26th 2017 at 6pm in Aras an Tochar.

GARDA BAND
The Garda Band will again play a concert in aid of the St. Vincent de Paul in Roundwood Church on Tuesday 28th of November.  Tickets €10.  Further details closer to the date  Tickets Available from:  Parish Office, Roundwood Post Office, Kavanagh’s Butchers, Keeley Hardware and  Ashford Post Office.

SALE OF WORK
The parish Sale of Work will take place on Sunday 3rd December 12-4pm.  They are looking for the following..  Donations of new unwanted gifts for the Bric a Brac stall, Home baking etc. for the Home Produce Stall, Bottles of wine/spirits for the bottle stall. All of these can be left into the parish office. Also seeking volunteers who could give an hour or two of their time on the day to sell tickets or help out on a stall. CEILI DANCING LESSONS
Adult ceili dancing classes are held every Wednesday night in the parish hall from 8 to 9pm. Learn to solo dance and also group dances under the tuition of Aoife, Cian and Eimear and have great fun learning.

MORNING BADMINTON
Tuesday morning badminton is back in full swing from 9.30am – beginners always welcome. Some rackets are available

MATHS LESSONS
Rebecca Delamere will be running Maths classes for Secondary School students in Roundwood Parish Hall.  Classes will be available for 1st to 6th year students and are designed to focus on common areas that students struggle with.  Guaranteed small class sizes and places are limited.  For further information, please contact Rebecca on 0860650129 or RebeccaDelamereMathsLessons@outlook.ie.

WALKING CLUB
The Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group are back in action every Wednesday evening meeting at 7pm at the Coach House car park. Everyone welcome to walk at your own pace for approximately 1 hour in and around Roundwood village

LOTTO RESULTS
There was no winner of this week’s lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 9, 24 & 30.  There were eight match winner, Allie Carstairs, Niamh Kinlan, John Cullen, Sam Mooney, Rose Gaffney, Una Lynch, Eamo Wolohan & Noelie Kavanagh.   Next week’s jackpot will be €17,500

MEN’S SHED:
Roundwood and District Men’s Shed: Our trip to Leinster House is scheduled for Tuesday 5th December and we will be departing by minibus from the Parish Hall in Roundwood at about 10 a.m. Please have a word with any of the shedders or feel free to call 086 8650588 if you would like to come along for the occasion. Lunch in the Visitors Bar and Leaders Questions as well as a Tour of the House are all on the agenda.  Recently in the SHED Dr. Máirtín conferred honorary degrees on some deserving members. They had the gowns and the headgear and hopefully you will be able to see the photographic evidence on the world wide web in the near future. The next whist will be on tonight Wednesday the 22nd November  in the Parish Centre.

45 CARD GAME
A 45 Card Game takes place every Tuesday night in Moneystown Community Centre starting at a new time of 8 pm for the winter.  Teas served. All are welcome.

SET DANCING.
Set dancing continues on Thursday nights in KAVANAGH’s lounge with an addition of giving jive lessons at 8.15pm before our weekly session at no additional cost. Music this month by Michael and Brian.

HOME PRODUCERS MARKET
Roundwood Home Producers Market is open every Sunday from 12 noon until 5 pm in The Parish Centre. Come for all your fresh bread, home baking, jams etc.  There will also be pictures, home crafts, plants and more. We look forward to seeing you all. New members always welcome
