TODDLER GROUP

Roundwood Humpty Dumpty Playgroup runs every Wednesday from 10 – 11.30 am in Roundwood Parish Hall. Thanks to some very generous toy donations over the past few weeks, the playgroup is now sporting a super new selection of toys and equipment – all waiting and ready to go on Wednesday mornings!! Bring your little ones along from 10-11.30 and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat with other parents and carers while the wee ones play. €2 for Cuidiú members or €3.50 for non-members. All welcome.

PLOUGHING SOCIETY

Roundwood Ploughing Society is holding their annual Ploughing Match on Saturday 28th February at 12 noon in Carrigower, Kilpedder. Sincere thanks to Hugh Power for providing the site. Please note all competitors must register before Wednesday 25th February with Brendan Power at 087 2420204

ACTIVE RETIREMENT AGM

FASHION SHOW

DIAMOND BRIDGE CLUB
Catherine McGillycuddy and Monica Brady took 1st place for North/South on Monday 16th February, 2nd Nancy O Brien and Phil Power, 3rd Margaret Byrne and Clare Sally, and Mary Pierce and Pamela Byrne were 4th.   1st for East/West were Mollie and Margaret Byrne, 2nd Ger Lenihan and Paddy O Brien, 3rd Barbara Donnelly and Brid Clancy and 4th Pat Rushe and Miriam Coyle.

OO2 BRIDGE
Nancy O Brien and Catherine McGillycuddy took 1st place ahead of Nancys husband Paddy and his partner Ger Lenihan on Friday 20th February, Kitty Heslin and Liz Belton were 3rd and Bridie Nolan and Seamus Kennedy were 4th.   1st for East/west were Noeleen Redmond and Margaret Bolger, 2nd Rachel Judd and Molly Byrne and joint 3/4th were Alice  Chadwick and Gayle Weldon and Marian Davis and Teresa Leahy.

DINNER DANCE
Roundwood AFC is celebrating their 40th anniversary with a dinner dance in The Parkview Hotel, Newtownmountkennedy on the 12th June at 7.30pm. Music by Just Us and DJ until late. Contact Jason for tickets at 086 3841027

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE
The annual mass of remembrance for parishioners and family members of parishioners who died since March last year will take place outside the Parish will take place on Saturday February, 28th at 6.30pm. For anyone wishing to have the names of loved ones on the Altar during the mass, a box will be available at the back of the church

MONEYSTOWN AGM
Moneystown community centre will hold its AGM on 11 March at 8 pm in the community centre

KILMACANOGUE HISTORY SOCIETY
Kilmacanogue History Society will hold a talk on 19th century networking in the Dargle Valley by Judy Cameron in the Glenview Hotel on Tuesday 3rd March at 8.30pm All are welcome. The talk will take a look at their neighbours and their descendants and a glimpse of the influence of Rev Daly in the valley during that time.

PROGRESSIVE 45
Roundwood Parish Hall are holding a progressive 45 game on Sunday 1st March in the Parish Centre to raise funds for the hall upkeep. There will be a raffle and prizes on the night and refreshments will also be provided. Please come along and support.

LOTTO RESULTS
There was no jackpot winner in last week’s draw. The numbers drawn were 3, 9, 21 & 26. There were six match three winners, Pauline McKeown, Grace Kavanagh, Tara Donnelly, Frank Dalym, Nora Power & Seamus O’Halloran. Next week’s jackpot will be €6,200
