OPERATION TRANSFORMATION

Operation Transformation is coming to Roundwood this new year. Open to everyone living in or around Roundwood. You simply pick a leader & follow their weight loss plan from the RTE programme and come along to the school for a free and confidential weight in every Saturday morning at 9am. This is followed by a family walk (the weight in is for adults only). The school gate will be open so you can park. This is a free event run by the school and the Parents Association which will run for the duration of the show!! It all starts Saturday the 9th January. A great way to get your year off to a super start!!

HUMPTY DUMPTY

Roundwood Humpty Dumpty is on a break over the festive period but will be back again in Wednesday 13th January! We look forward to seeing you between 10 & 11.30 for tea, chatter and a nursery rhymes – lots of toys and books to entertain your babies, wobblers and toddlers. €2/€3.50 for Cuidiu members/non-members – All Welcome

WICKLOW MAN

There will be music in Kavanaghs Lounge on Sunday 17th January by The Wicklow Man.  All are welcome to a night of waltzing, jiving etc. See you there.

YOGA

An 8 week yoga course will commence on Thursday 14th January in Roundwood Parish Centre at 7.30 -9.30 p.m. Cost is 10 euro per class with a commitment of €50 due on first night.  The class will include Asana (Strengthening and stretching exercises),Pranayama (breathing techniques) Relaxation and Meditation.  All are welcome -details Anne-Marie on 086 -8367578

BINGO

Fun Bingo will take place on in the Annamoe Centre on Sunday 10th January from 3pm.  Family members and friends are more than welcome to attend.  €5 per book and great raffle prizes.  Come along and enjoy

DIAMOND BRIDGE CLUB

Rachel Judd and Molly Byrne took 1st place for North/South in the final competition of 2015,  Phil Power, Monica  Brady Joan Shortt and Judy Skates were joint 2nd/3rd and Mary Pierce and Kay Plunkett were 4th.  East/West victors were Ger Lenihan and Paddy O Brien, 2nd Catherine Halligan and Bridie Nolan, 3rd Gertie Fee and Brid Clancy and 4th Teresa Leahy and Marian Davis. Top 5 places in the end of season league were as follows  1st Phil Power, 2nd Paddy O Brien 3rd/4th Gertie Fee and Brid Clancy and 5th Nancy O Brien.  Congratulations to all and to everyone who took part.  Bridge resumes on Monday 11th January and Triona and Gaye would like to wish all a very Happy 2016.

002 BRIDGE CLUB

In the final competition of 2015 Catherine McGillycuddy and Nancy O Brien took 1st place for North/South 2nd Bridie Nolan and Maura Gaskin and 3rd Ger Lenihan and Paddy O Brien.  1st for East /West were Maria Magee and Rowena Brady, Margaret Bolger and Noeleen Redmond were 2nd and Kitty Heslin and Triona Woodroofe were 3rd.  Noeleen Redmond secured 1sdtplace in the end of season league, Liz Belton was 2nd, Margaret Bolger was 3rd, 4th Paddy O Brien and 5tth Bridie Nolan.  congratulations to all and to everyone who took part.  Bridge resumes on Friday 8th January and Triona and Gaye would like to wish all a very Happy New Year.

LUNCH CLUB

A reminder that the Active Retirement Lunch club will take place on Friday 22nd January, 2016 in The Coach House, Roundwood at 1.30pm.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Roundwood Community Council will hold their January meeting in the Old School on Monday 11th of January 2016. All welcome

LOTTO RESULTS

There was no jackpot winner in last weeks draw.  The numbers drawn were 6, 12, 25 & 27.  There were four match three winners, Denis McCoy, Anne Miller, J& S Keogh & The Keogh family.  Next weeks jackpot will be €19,400.

MONEYSTOWN DANCE

The Wicklow Man will play in Moneystown Community Centre on Friday 8th January from 9.30 pm till 12.  Teas served, mince pies, door prizes, refreshments also available. Come along and enjoy a night of waltzing, jive, etc

WHIST

SET DANCING

Set dancing in Kavanagh’s lounge every Thursday night with music this month by Michael and Brian. Love if you could join us on the dance floor for a night of fun and lively banter
